A line of childrenswear named after a corduroy ape has to put some seriously cute clothes out into the world. Appaman far from disappoints in making good on this promise. During his time growing up in Norway, company founder and designer Harald Husum shared many adventures with a precocious plush primate. Today, his whimsical and well-made Appaman clothing for kids recalls those stories within the context of contemporary American pop culture.
Make her day by making it metallic with the Appaman Pewter Color Kelsey Dress.
And really — who knew a simian stuffy could be so hip? One thing Appaman proves again and again is that just because clothing is cool doesn’t mean it has to be fussy. Appaman is known for its relaxed yet urban vibe. There’s a reason why many of Hollywood’s most adorable up-and-comers, including Room star Jacob Tremblay, Black-ish actor Miles Brown, and Girl Meets World cutie August Maturo, are spotted out and about in Appaman threads. Haute hordes of A-list offspring are also getting in on the Appaman action, such as Sasha and Samuel of the Naomi Watts/Liev Schreiber brood.
Go full-on formal or mix things up with the versatile Appaman Black Boys Velvet Blazer Jacket.
But even tiny trendsetters who aren’t yet gracing the pages of US Weekly can step into next season in style thanks to Appaman’s extraordinary fall collection. Where else can you find so many petite pieces which uniquely embody the spirit of feel-good, fashion-forward fun? In fact, one phrase comes to mind above all else when we think of Appaman girls coats, Appaman dresses, Appaman boys suits, Appaman sweaters, and everything else Appaman: Carefree chic. It’s what makes Appaman so, well, Appaman.
The Appaman Blue Hooded Down Boys Coat Parka proves that down doesn’t have to be dowdy.
When it comes to original outerwear this fall, Appaman serves up a winning blend of form and function with the likes of the Appaman Nicki Furry Girls Bomber Jacket and the Appaman Blue Hooded Down Boys Coat Parka — both of which will take kiddos from playground to party without skipping a beat. These picks, along with plenty of other Appaman winter coats and jackets in the season’s hottest hues, will keep all your favorite pint-sized people both cool and warm at the same time thanks to cozy down and awesome design details, like removable fur hoods.
Appaman does luxe just as well as it does laid-back with lots of fetching formal kids clothing in the mix, too, including the elegantly edgy Appaman Black Boys Velvet Blazer Jacket and the Appaman Pewter Color Kelsey Dress — a perfect fit for metallics-loving miniature mavens.
The classic bomber jacket gets a refreshing reboot with the Appaman Nicki Furry Girls Bomber Jacket.
From its dreamy Scandinavian roots to its downtown Brooklyn present, Appaman makes one-of-a-kind clothing for one-of-a-kind kids. If you’re looking for standout style staples this fall, look no further than Appaman’s Fall 2016 collection – available now for pre-order at Little Fashions Boutique.

I’ve been wanting to write about this super cut blazer by Baby Sara for awhile now. If Coco Chanel herself was alive today and she was children’s clothing designer, she couldn’t come-up with a cuter jacket than this one. We absolutely love this Baby Sara blazer. Made with stylish textured ivory and pink fabric with gold thread, this adorable little girls blazer has really sweet rounded pockets with gold fringe trim that we love. Other endless fun features are fancy gold buttons, golden fringe around the neckline and the sleeves, gold hardware zipper closure and scalp-shaped hemline. We also like the versatilty of this Chanel Inspired Little Girls blazer. You can easily wear it with the pants or leggings or you can pair it up with a fancy dress, like this Gold & Beige Sparkly sequined Dress by Baby Sara. Here are different way to wear this, we only tried a couple

Though it might not feel like it most of the country, spring is less than a month away! That means its time to shop the latest styles and fashions for Spring 2014, and your favorite designers have a lot to offer, from pop art prints to asymmetrical hemlines to vintage-inspired looks. We’ve checked out the latest runway shows and discovered the hottest trends of the season, all translated into adorable, stylish and wearable looks for your little girls, girls and tweens.
Printed leggings are huge this spring, thanks to a showing of pop art prints on the runways. Designers such as Kenzo, Peter Som, Christopher Kane and Miu Miu were all playing with bold, quirky prints for spring, as were Prada and Christian Dior. Translated into kid-friendly wear, these patterns are popping up all over, but especially on printed leggings.
This look is so fresh and fun, and such an easy way for your girl or tween to express her unique style! We especially love the funky leggings, capris and tights from Zara Terez. This hip brand is known for its eclectic prints and trend setting fabrics; this spring, she’ll adore pairing skirts or tunic tops with quirky leggings that sport colorful cartoons, fireworks, unicorns, Broadway icons or even those ubiquitous Rainbow Loom bands that every girl is obsessed with these days!
For even more fun looks, check out the printed pop art leggings from Les Touts Petits, a favorite brand of the Obama daughters. Choose from colorful prints that include paint splatters, pinwheels, peace signs and Warhol’s iconic roses to dress up any skirt or top with a splash of color and individual style.
Even if your girl or tween’s personal motto isn’t “skate or die!”, she’ll still adore the latest trend to sweep the runways: The skater dress. With their full swingy skirts, fitted bodices and cute scoop necks, skater dresses let your fashion forward tween explore her edgy side — just a little bit, anyway.
But they’re not just on-trend; skater dresses’ considerable appeal also lies in their versatility! These adorable dresses can be classic, when paired with patterned tights, riding boots, and a pea coat. When she wants to add a little edge, she can add ankle boots, a scarf and a moto jacket. For a more conservative look, simply top with a sweater and add flats.
Hi Lo Dresses
We’ve been seeing the hi lo hem trend for a while, and it’s only getting hotter. In their Spring 2014 lines, designers such as Bottega Veneta, Donna Karan, Rag and Bone, and Thakoon all featured this popular look. Celebrities love it too, with famous fashionistas Kate Hudson, Natalie Portman, Olivia Palermo, and Rachel Bilson all rocking this fun look on the red carpet in recent months.
We adore the hi lo look too, and especially like how Truly Me — part of the Hannah Banana brand — combines it with another trendy runway style, flowing skirts in gorgeous colors like guava pink and rich royal blue. Truly Me also offers stunning spring dresses featuring this versatile hemline in a range of patterns, from graphic stripes to florals — which are, by the way, another hot runway trend for the season!
Truly Me’s big sis, Sara Sara, also offers the hi lo look. Sara Sara’s tween dresses feature this noteworthy hemline in beautiful geometric, floral and graphic prints, all in the rich colors of the season. Hi lo maxi skirts add another dress-up or dress-down option that can take your tween from school to special events with ease.
Fringe was big in the Spring 14 fashion shows, with designers like Altuzarra, Miu Miu, Rodarte, Philip Lim, Max Azria, and Calvin Klein all adding this swingy embellishment to runway-ready looks. For the younger set, fringed swimsuits create a fresh and fun look for hanging out at the beach, hopping into the pool, or even just splashing through the sprinklers in the back yard!
Here at Little Fashions Boutique, we especially love the fringed looks from Submarine. Their tween bikinis blend strong color palettes, fresh prints and a bit of fringe for a look your tween will love all summer long. We’re also big fans of the fringed swimsuits from Ondade Mar, a brand that melds South American style with stunning prints, high quality fabrics and the latest beach fashion trends that your girl will adore.
Vintage is always amazing, and when you add lace — as we saw so often in the Spring 2014 lines — this lovely style just gets prettier and more feminine. Designers like Burberry Prosum, Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton, Dolce and Gabbana, and Vera Wang all featured lacy looks in their Spring 14 runway shows.
One of our favorite new brands, Mustard Pie takes that lacy, vintage style to a whole new level that no little girl — or mom — could resist. From stunning ivory lace leggings to ruffly dresses and skirts, Mustard Pie’s adorableness factor is through the roof. We also adore the lacy vintage styles from Haute Baby. This exclusive line is known for its subtle colors and exquisite fabrics. You’ll love dressing your little one up in these sweet styles all spring long!
